How many service pages does a local business need?

Google ranks pages, not businesses. If two services share a page, only one of them can win its search.

The short answer: one page for each service you want to show up for, and most local businesses need three to six. Not one page listing everything. Google ranks pages, and a page can only really be about one thing.

Why one services page does not work

If pressure washing, gutter cleaning and window cleaning share one page, Google has to guess which search the page is for, and it usually picks none of them. Three pages, each with the service and the town in the title, each with a photo of that work and the same clear ask, can each rank for their own search.

Which pages to build first

Start with the service that makes you the most money per job, then the one people ask about most, then the one with the least competition in your town. Keyword research ($397) tells you which searches have real volume, so you are not writing pages for phrases nobody types.

What a service page needs

Each page is short and specific.

  • The service and the town in the title and the first line.
  • What is included, in plain words, and what it costs or where it starts.
  • Two or three photos of that exact work.
  • One real review that mentions that service, if you have one.
  • The same tap-to-call button and short form as every other page.

What it costs

Service pages are $549 each on the menu at /pricing/menu. The Growth site at $3,497 includes three of them plus the keyword research and the Google Business Profile setup, which is the cheapest way to get the first three.
